Sundays:
Worship:
8:30 or 11:15 a.m. Every Sunday morning students can worship with the adults at the 8:30 a.m. service, or... better yet, stay at Chets Creek Elementary for our 11:15 a.m. Student Worship Service,
"ENGAGE".This is a fun-filled, challenging time of worship that includes a youth-led band, prayer time, videos, drama / skits, hilarious games and a message that challenges students to put God first in every aspect of their lives. You'll hear from students your own age who are living out a relationship with God and you'll see how, even through struggles, they're seeing God do amazing things in and through them.
LifeGroups:
9:45 a.m. We begin in room 149 with a large group activity, then we break into smaller groups by age and gender for discussion and application.
During students' 3 years in Middle School we use a variety of teaching methods in LifeGroups and other places to try to communicate what we feel are 3 key spiritual truths for their lives:
1. My faith is an everyday journey. As they travel from childhood to adulthood, their faith becomes more personal. We want to help them realize everyday is a new day they can choose to live for God.
2. I won't follow the crowd. Friends are a huge part of every Middle Schooler's life. We want them to make wise choices about who their friends are and how they influence them.
3. Less is More. Most adults see teenagers as selfish. We want to erase that sterotype by helping Middle Schoolers become less self-centered so their lives can become more God-centered. By serving, sharing, and giving, Middle Schoolers realize they can make a big impact on the world.
