I was born in Jacksonville and grew up in Memphis, Tennessee. As a teenager I was very involved in the youth group at our church and felt God calling me to minister to teenagers full time. After graduating from Furman University in South Carolina, I went to Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in Chicago. There I met my wife Kelley who was also a student. We have been married for 10 years. Our son, Will, joined our family in September 2007.
I have served in youth ministry positions for 9 years in churches in Atlanta and Ft. Lauderdale before coming to Chets Creek Church in the summer of 2006. We love being a part of a church that values reaching young people.
I also enjoy reading, basketball, and taking walks with our black lab Charlotte.
