My name is Tim Trinkle, and while I'm a Texas native, I've spent most of my life right here in Jacksonville. My family moved from here to Virginia while I was in college at the University of Florida (Go Gators!), which is where I met my wonderful wife, Cheryl. We returned to Jacksonville after school, and I joined an engineering company as a graphic designer. We have three wonderful kids... Caitlyn (away at FSU. We don't know where we went wrong. Sigh.), Scott (in high school), and Matthew (our middle schooler).
As my father was a minister, I practically grew up in the church. Most of my life has been spent in traditional, large church settings, where I was active and involved in numerous ministries. We were members of a church here in Jacksonville when they started a mission called Chets Creek.
Not long after Chets Creek began, we left the parent church to join the work here. As we were meeting in a school, there was always a lot of work to be done, and we joined in wherever we could. I soon started working with a team to produce videos to help communicate sermon points and promote church activities, and before I knew it, nine years had passed and the church had grown quite a bit.
In February of 2008, I joined the staff here full time as Director of Media. In addition to video production, my work now includes graphic design of print media, maintenance of the church website, and supporting the other Chets ministries to help reach people with the Good News of Jesus Christ.
