Why Volunteer?
Did you know that God created you with special gifts intended for his purposes? God didn’t design ministry for just a few – he made each one of us a minister. Whether your ministry is in the church or the community, we want to help you discover your strengths and learn to use your talents, temperaments, and gifts in service to God and others. In fact, we wouldn’t be able to do all the things that we do at Chets without you! So we invite you to learn how God can use your Spiritual gifts, Heart, Abilities, Personality, and Experiences (S.H.A.P.E.) in reaching the world with the love of Christ.
Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God's grace in its various forms. 1 Peter 4:10
Where do I start?
At C.L.A.S.S. 301, you’ll learn about the SHAPE process and see how God can use you to minister to others in need. For more information about CLASS 301 and to find-out about future classes, click here.
Volunteering in the Church
We recommend that potential volunteers find a ministry that interests you and try it out. Spend a week or two serving in one of our ministries and see if it’s for you. If not, try another! Volunteering in the Community

We strongly encourage you to consider becoming involved with one of them or with any number of other great organizations that are making a difference in the lives of our neighbors.
