Current Study: Your Story Has a Villain
There is an enemy among us. You may know who he is, but you may not know what he is about. Do you know how he wages war? Do you know how he targets you specifically? He’s the villain who wants to change your story in the hopes you live isolated, powerless, discouraged, and defeated. Are you ready to change your narrative and live a different story today? If you’re weary from the struggle and ready to experience life as God intended, this study with Pastor Jonathan Pokluda will help you explore the tactics of Satan, equip you to overcome spiritual battles, and remind you of the victory already secured through Jesus.

Prayer is a gift – an invitation to talk with God. But prayer can also be a challenge. Do you have trouble thinking of words to say, fear some emotions are too intense to express to God, or reach the end of a day only to realize you haven’t prayed at all? You’re not alone. Thankfully, in God’s Word we encounter many voices who teach us to pray. You’ll find that when you pray, your faith is strengthened, and your heart is united to Jesus. Each week we will watch a teaching video from one of the authors on a different type of prayer and have a discussion based on the teaching and our homework.

Theology (the study of God) can be intimidating. But it doesn’t have to be. The goal of theology is knowing and loving God well. This is a lifelong endeavor, a never-ending pursuit, not for the sake of knowledge, but for an ever-deepening relationship with God Himself. Using You Are a Theologian by Jen Wilkin and J.T. English as our guide, we’ll address theological questions such as: Who is God? What is God like? What is the Bible? Who are we? What went wrong? What has God done? To whom do we belong? How does the story end?

Most men want to be strong spiritual leaders of their families. They just don’t know how because they’ve never seen it modeled. That’s why Steve Farrar wrote Point Man thirty years ago. With more than half a million copies sold, it’s the go-to resource for how to faithfully lead and love your family, walk boldly through challenging seasons of marriage and parenting, stand firm against personal temptation, and forge a faith that shines bright. Yet the war on the family has only intensified since this trusted guide first came out. Whether through entertainment, social media, or legislation, our world seems determined to undermine the traditional family—which means faithful spiritual leadership is needed more than ever.

The world has become a confusing place. Every day we are confronted with cloudy moral issues that once seemed clear. When did the simple things get so complicated? But instead of wondering how we got here, maybe we should revisit how we got started. And there's no better place to start than the beginning of God's Word, the book of Genesis. A respected pastor and Bible teacher, Dr. Warren Wiersbe takes an insightful look at the fundamentals for a life well lived. Return to the beginning and discover life-changing truths about relationships, faith, sin, and spiritual fulfillment. Because in life, the key to a happy ending is found at the beginning.

Has it ever dawned on you that nothing has ever dawned on God? He knew before the world began that His people would face hardship, so He gave us His Word. The Book of Ephesians is a survival manual—it equips believers to thrive in a world that hates the message of Jesus Christ. Paul the Apostle writes to encourage believers to live well—we've been lifted from the graveyard of sin and called to shout the gospel into the darkened world. Pastor and author J.D. Greear walks through the powerful words of Paul and challenges believers to live out the gospel.
