Meet Matthew McDow
Nice to meet you! My name is Matthew McDow and my wonderful wife’s name is Lindsay. In just a few weeks we’ll be celebrating 2 years of marriage together! We met as summer church interns in South Florida. After many prayers and some persistent convincing on my part, I finally got her to go on a date with me and the rest is history.
We are both born-and-raised Floridians (Go Gators!) and love this great state. We both repented and believed in the Gospel at young ages and have been growing in our faith ever since.
In high school, I began to feel God placing a call on my life to serve the local church in full time ministry. Through much prayer and many conversations with mentors, I surrendered to that call during my senior year of high school.
I have had the privilege to serve local churches in Central and South Florida in various ministry roles. No matter the role, I have been amazed and humbled how God has used me, a broken vessel and clay jar, to further His kingdom.
While serving on staff, I have organized and led local mission opportunities, connecting people with serving in their communities. I partnered with our student ministry to serve the neighborhoods around Family Church. I have also been a part of multiple international mission trips to Mexico, Honduras, Costa Rica, Ecuador and Puerto Rico.
I am currently completing my Masters of Divinity at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. Lindsay is a professional wedding and lifestyle photographer. She has a passion for storytelling and serving couples and families by capturing some of life’s most special and memorable moments.
Lindsay and I both share a deep passion for seeing the good news of the Gospel change lives and eternities. Chets Creek Church has a rich history and legacy of impacting neighborhoods and the nations with the Gospel message. We are so excited to build upon that history and legacy in the days ahead as we partner with you in the Gospel ministry!
