Alphonse was born and raised in a Kitembe village (DR Congo).  He has been married since the age of 18 to Euphrasie Namahoro; together they have raised two daughters and a son.  Alphonse accepted Jesus as Lord and Savior in 2000, served as a deacon for the African refugee community at Good News Church in Rwanda 2008-2016, and has held leadership positions in African congregations in Jacksonville since then, most recently as Minister of Internationals at Chets (2022-present).
