Meet Tyler Core
About Tyler
Tyler Core is an Alabama native who grew up in Orlando, Florida. He holds a degree in Marketing from Samford University, a Master of Divinity from Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary, and a Doctor of Ministry in Strategic Leadership from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. He currently serves as Campus Pastor at Family Church Gardens in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, where his passion is helping people follow Jesus and building families to pursue God’s design for their lives.
Tyler has been married to his wife Ashley for thirteen years. Ashley holds a Doctorate of Pharmacy and works in the pharmaceutical industry. Together they are raising three kids. Judah is eight and loves soccer and fishing. Claire is five and loves playing dress up and art. And Ava is beloved by her 2 siblings and keeps the entire family entertained with her spunky personality.
The Cores love their neighborhood church, hosting people in their home, and traveling together.

What's your go-to coffee order?
A grande black coffee. I promise my personality is more fun than my coffee order.
What's your favorite Bible verse?
Proverbs 3:5-6. "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths."
Favorite movie?

What's a hobby or interest of yours that might surprise some people?
I love playing golf. I'm not that good, but I enjoy being outside and a little friendly competition.
What drew you to Chets Creek Church?
The legacy, the neighborhood-minded heart, and the people. Chets Creek has deep roots in Jacksonville, a clear love for the Word, and a vision for reaching people here and around the world. Every conversation with the search team has only deepened our sense that this is a church worth giving our lives to.
How can we pray for you?
Please pray for our children in this time of transition. Pray for God to plant our family in a neighborhood where we can reach our neighbors for Christ. Pray for wisdom, favor, and a fresh vision from God as we step into this new season of leadership.

How To Pray
This has been a long and thorough process and God has been so faithful all along the way. Here are some specific ways you can be in prayer as we continue this process and move forward together.
PRAY FOR UNITY AS WE VOTE
Ask God to give our church family one heart and one mind as we prayerfully vote to call Tyler and his family to Chets. Pray that our vote would reflect His clear leading — and that we would step into what's next together, with confidence.
PRAY FOR TYLER AND HIS FAMILY
Pray for Tyler as he steps into this new calling, and for Ashley and their kids as they prepare to leave Family Church and make Jacksonville home. Ask God to provide for every need and fill this transition with His peace and excitement for what's ahead.
PRAY FOR SPIKE AND KITTY
Thank God for the decades of faithful leadership, love, and sacrifice that Spike and Kitty have poured into this church. Pray that their retirement would be full of joy and deep rest — and that we would celebrate them well.
