Spiritual Habits is a six session class that will equip you with practical ways to grow your faith and help you get involved at Chets. We’ll discover that these habits are more than just things to do to be a good Christian, they’re the methods that God uses to keep us in step with His Spirit as we join Him in His mission. Whether you’re a new believer or just want to take the next step in your faith, this class is for you.

WOMEN’S GROUP: OVERFLOWING JOY - WHAT JESUS SAYS ABOUT A JOY-FILLED LIFE
    by Tara Dew
    Wednesdays from 6:30-7:30pm
    August 20 to October 1
    Hodges Campus - Room TBD
    Leader: Katie McCallum

Note: This is a walking group - participants will meet up inside the building and then head outside for a walk around the school track next door as you discuss the book. This is a great way to get your steps in!

Whether you’re facing the ordinary, daily pressures of squaring away today’s to-do list or an unexpected season of suffering that seems to have no end, sometimes it feels like Jesus’s promise of “overflowing joy” is simply not within reach for your real life. But it doesn’t have to be that way. By journeying with you through Jesus’s words in John 15, author and Bible teacher Tara Dew reveals three surprising paths to a truly joy-filled life. If you’re willing to take Jesus up on His teaching, you’ll find that God’s pruning, God’s presence, and God’s commands have the power to deliver not just a taste of joy as a fruit God is developing in your life, but an overflowing bushel of it! The question is, are you willing?

MEN’S GROUP: EVERY THOUGHT CAPTIVE - HOW RENEWING YOUR MIND CAN CHANGE YOUR LIFE
    Wednesdays from 6:30-7:30pm
    Starts August 20
    Hodges Campus - Room TBD
    Leader: Mike Hodge

Are your thoughts leading you toward transformation or conformity? Are they building you up or tearing you down? Are they drawing you closer to God or pulling you away? In Every Thought Captive, you will explore a topic crucial for your spiritual growth: the battle for your mind. Join Kyle Idleman for a journey where you will learn to actively and intentionally challenge your thoughts. This isn’t a study on the power of positive thinking—or how you have the power to change your life—but about learning how God made your brain. He will transform your life as you learn to take every thought captive and submit it to the truth of his Word.

    Starts August 20
    Hodges Campus - Room TBD
    Leader: Julius Green

What comes to mind when you hear the word evangelism? Many Christians avoid sharing the gospel, letting feelings of inadequacy, guilt, or failure keep our lips sealed and the good news confined to Sunday mornings. But what if it isn’t as complicated or scary as we’ve made it? Always Going: How to Share Your Faith will help prepare you for gospel conversations with anyone, at any time, and anywhere.

We then host a huge Baby Shower with their families and our church family, showing each mom they are no alone in this season! Embrace Life is a continuation of the journey and provides an opportunity to continue supporting these new moms.
